Vacancy for School Pastors Coordinator (p/t)
The trustees of Isle of Wight Street Pastors are seeking someone to take on the role of School Pastors’ Coordinator. We’re looking for someone to lead our group of dedicated Christian volunteers who provide safety and reassurance to students and the wider community in and around local schools.
The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the initiative, assisting with the general running of the charity, training and supervising volunteers, delivering presentations in churches and other community settings, representing the charity in discussions with schools and other agencies and the effective monitoring and reporting of the initiatives outcomes. The coordinator is also required to train as a School Pastor and go out on patrol as required.
The role is a part-time, permanent position offered for 16 hours a week. Occasional evening and weekend working may be required. There is an occupation requirement for the post-holder to be a Christian.
